Sanibel Author/Book Publisher To Speak At The Florida Publishers Association Educational Conference

SANIBEL AUTHOR/BOOK PUBLISHER TO SPEAK AT THE FLORIDA PUBLISHERS ASSOCIATION EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE, OCTOBER 9, 2010

HIGHLAND CITY FLORIDA – September 20, 2010 – Kyle L. Miller, children’s book author and owner of Jungle House Publications, Sanibel Island, FL, will be speaking at the FPA Educational Conference on October 9, at the Helmsley Sandcastle Hotel on Lido Beach in Sarasota.  A 2010 Independent Book Publishers Association scholarship winner, Kyle will describe what she learned at the 2-day NYC Publishing extravaganza, and her 2-day experience at Book Expo America.  She will discuss highlights from the conference, including publicity and promotion, retail and/or etail, and building online visibility.

The FPA 2010 Publishing Ed-U-Conference, “Experience Speaks!” will begin with a social the night before (on Friday, the 8th), and the main conference will be held all day Saturday, the 9th. 

The featured speaker for this year’s Ed-U-Conference will be publishing guru John Kremer, author of 1001 Ways to Market Your Books (www.bookmarket.com).  John will speak on book marketing for three hours.  Also featured are FPA’s President, Chris Angermann, who will teach us why “It’s all in the Rewriting: The Importance of Editing.

The President’s Book Awards Banquet is scheduled for Saturday evening in the ballroom.  Anyone may register to attend the banquet without having to attend the conference.

Miller's publishing company, Jungle House Publications, was established in 2005 to bring her first Eric Hoffer award winning children’s book, "DILLO - A Baby Armadillo’s Adventure on Sanibel Island", to the retail market.  Jungle House Publications maintains a focus on wildlife storybooks for children that entertain as well as educate.
